The member listing for The Message has been updated and all new members should now be getting the Message in the mail. Starting this month meeting minutes will also be posted on the web site.
Welcome to new members Mike Frary, Jeffery Fabiano, and Susan Daigle. .
Committees:
Small Bore Rifle:
Tom Cannon started the small bore silhouette shoots May 2nd. It was a contentious match between the two individuals that showed up, one came in second and the other came in next to last. Come on people, this is a great way to get started in some fun competition. Any rimfire rifle with a scope can be used. Watch the website for info on the next match.
Pistol:
Pin shoots start on May 16th.
Buildings and Grounds:
The trap field was groomed, preened and made ready for a great season of shooting. Trees, brush and overgrowth along the left side of the field were removed and you now have a bit more time to engage the targets before they can hide behind any branches.
Bob O’Hanly also got an electrician to come in and fix some shorted service to the trap house as well as rewire and fix the trap field lighting. We can now look forward to some night shooting at the club.
Trap:
We are back in business with the machine back up and the lights available for night shooting. Keep an eye on the web site for info on night shoots.
Monday June 14th is Flag Day folks. To commemorate the day we are having a special dedication ceremony that evening at 6:00 PM. We will be receiving a special flag from the American Legion, one that has been with our troops in the mid east. For this special honor Bob has arranged a special Marine Corps Honor Guard to be at the flag raising ceremony.
We are hoping that the club members along with their family join us for this occasion. We will have the kitchen open and refreshments will be served.
Mike has also resurrecting a late charge for membership renewals. More to come.
