Youth Pheasant Hunt
Our club will be sponsoring a youth pheasant hunt, in partnership with Mass Wildlife, to be held on a WMA (wildlife management area) in our area.  These hunts are a great way to introduce young adults to hunting.  Open to ages 12-17, the program stresses safety afield and provides an opportunity to interact with others of similar age having the same interest, interact with hunting dogs, to learn basics of upland game hunting, conservation, land management, and field preparation of game.

The cost is free! This hunt is open to members and non-members.  A hunter safety certificate is required prior to the hunt, and all youth must be accompanied by a licensed parent/guardian. There will be a class prior to the hunt to review safety and what to expect on the hunt itself.  Tentative dates are expected to be Saturday October 7th, or September 23rd.  Those interested in participating should contact John Holt at for more details.

So come along, join in, have your child bring a friend, neighbor, cousin etc. and enjoy a day afield with them!
